I am the owner of Art Pappas Antiques in Woodbury, Connecticut. Born in Providence, RI, and a 1983 graduate of Bryant College with a degree in Business Administration, I founded Art Pappas Antiques that same year and have worked in the antiques business for more than 43 years.
I specialize in early American furniture and accessories, architectural antiques, and antique building materials. During the early years of my career, I spent many years traveling throughout New England and New York, buying and selling antiques on the road to dealers and collectors while developing a broad network of industry contacts. I also exhibited at major antiques shows including the Connecticut Antiques Show, Ridgefield Antique Show and more recently the Heart of Tennessee Antiques Show, and the Wethersfield Antiques Show.
For nearly 30 years, I was largely absent from the antiques show circuit while focusing on my retail shop and auction company (Main Street Auction). I continue to buy and sell quality antiques for collectors and dealers throughout country.
My wife Susan and I reside in a restored 1751 historic home in Woodbury, CT. We have 5 children and 4 grandchildren.
