Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at NHADA! This e
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at NHADA! This early 19th-century homemade kitchen grater was previously sold by NHADA member Bittner Antiques @bittnerantiques, who appreciates it for its simplicity—being comprised of just bentwood, a piece of tin, and four nails—and “the charm of the heart design being subtly balanced with the function of the object.”

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we want to celebrate that many NHADA dealers are family businesses, including Bittner Antiques: Brian described helping with his grandfather’s auction business as a kid, and has since expanded the business. The New Hampshire Antiques Dealers Association is a family of its own kind, made up of knowledgeable dealers, dedicated staff, and enthusiastic collectors and show attendees.

Homemade kitchen grater, American, early 19th-century. Tin, bentwood, and original nails.
