DECEMBER 2017 NEWS FROM NHADA

Daylight Savings Time is upon us as we move towards winter with shorter days and longer nights. But, still lots to do around the state, with many antiques shops remaining open year round. Watch for holiday open houses and sales.

The next Portsmouth Antiques Show, managed by Peter Mavris, and held at the Frank Jones Center, is December 3rd, 10 to 2. A reminder that there is no early buying at this show.

Also, Jack Donnigan’s Milford Antiques Show is in full swing every Sunday at the New Hampshire Hills Athletic Club in Milford.  The show runs from 8:30 to noon, with early buying available during exhibitor set up, 6:30 to 8:30

NHADA welcomes two new members this month.  The Village Braider is a 25 year plus antiques business of Plymouth, Massachusetts.  They now focus on exhibiting and selling at antiques shows throughout the Northeast.  The Flying Pig Antiques Cooperative is located at 867 Rt 12, Building 13, Westmoreland, NH.  They held their grand opening in late September and are open 7 days per week, 9:00 to 5:00.

The NHADA Annual Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 15th, 12:30 pm, at the Common Man restaurant in Concord, NH. The business portion of the meeting will take place first, followed by lunch; $15 per person to help offset costs please.  As we did last year, we will hold an auction of items you bring.  We auction at no commission and you get paid directly by the buyer! You may bring up to three (3) items. If you need further information, please contact Ken Pike at rrpcc101a@comcast.net.
